These terms govern the use of Corplat Cursos (the "platform"), the site where independent instructors publish online courses and students buy and take them. By creating an account or using the platform you accept these terms and our Personal data processing policy.
1. Who we are
The platform is operated by:
- Corplat, NIT 1088328824
- Email: info@corplat.com
- Phone: 3054373602
2. Your account
- You need an account to buy or take courses. You can create it with your email or with Google.
- You must be of legal age or have the authorization of your legal representative.
- The information you register must be true. Your name is the one that will appear on your certificates.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what is done from your account. The account is personal: do not share it.
3. Buying courses
- Prices are shown in Colombian pesos (COP). The price you pay is the one you see at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed through MercadoPago, with the methods it offers (cards, PSE, cash and others). Corplat does not know or store your card details.
- Access to the course is activated when MercadoPago confirms the payment. Some methods, such as PSE or cash, may take a while to be confirmed.
- You will receive an email with the receipt of your purchase.
4. Access to courses
- When you buy a course you get a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to watch it through the platform, with no time limit while the platform operates.
- If a course is removed from the catalog, those who already bought it keep their access, unless it is removed for infringing third-party rights or the law.
- Instructors may update their courses; those updates are included in your access.
- Downloading, recording, copying, sharing or redistributing course content is not allowed.
5. Right of withdrawal and refunds
Under article 47 of Law 1480 of 2011 (Colombian Consumer Statute), for purchases made electronically you may exercise the right of withdrawal within five (5) business days after the purchase. To do so, write to info@corplat.com with your order reference. We will refund the money through the same payment method within thirty (30) calendar days, and access to the course will be removed.
After that period, we will review any refund request case by case, especially if the course does not match what its page offered.
6. Instructors
- To publish courses you must apply to be an instructor. Corplat reviews each application and may approve or reject it. It also reviews each course before publishing it.
- You declare that you own the rights to the content you publish, or have the necessary authorizations, and that it does not infringe third-party rights or the law.
- You keep ownership of your courses. You grant Corplat a non-exclusive license to host them, adapt them technically (for example, convert the videos), promote them and offer them to students while they are published, and so that those who bought them keep their access.
- For each sale, Corplat keeps a commission on the price paid (currently 30%, unless otherwise agreed) and the rest belongs to the instructor. The split of each sale is fixed at the time of purchase.
- Corplat periodically pays out earnings to the account you register. If a sale that was already paid to you is refunded, your share is deducted from the following payments.
- Each instructor is responsible for their tax obligations on the income they receive.
- Corplat may suspend an instructor or remove a course that breaches these terms, with notice and an explanation of the reason.
7. Community rules
We ask for respect in questions, answers and reviews. It is not allowed to:
- Publish offensive, discriminatory, misleading or advertising content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
- Publish other people's personal data.
- Write fake reviews or reviews in exchange for a benefit.
Corplat may hide or remove content that breaks these rules.
8. Certificates
When you complete a course you receive a certificate of completion that anyone can verify with its code. This certificate proves that you completed the course on the platform; it is not an academic degree or a certificate of formal education or of education for work and human development under Colombian Law 115 of 1994 and its regulations.
9. Intellectual property
The platform, its design and its brand belong to Corplat. The content of each course belongs to its instructor. None of these terms transfers rights over them to you beyond the license of use described.
10. Liability
We do our best for the platform to work continuously and securely, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance or causes beyond our control. The content of each course is the responsibility of its instructor; Corplat reviews it before publishing it, but does not guarantee particular results from taking it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, if the change is significant, we will notify you by email. Changes do not affect purchases already made.
12. Applicable law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. If you have a question or a complaint, write to info@corplat.com. As a consumer, you can also contact the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
